I love the color, design, and waterproofing of this shoe. The insoles have been so comfortable that I do not need to use my custom orthodic insoles (at least so far). The only reason I didnt give it five stars is that at the end of the day, my feet were very sweaty. The waterproofing did its designed job, but some more breathability would be nice. Overall, a great boot so far!

They look good, feel sturdy and the insole is comfortable. But my heels slip up and down no matter what I do to try to stop it (thicker socks, tying them tight). The sliding causes blisters if I walk too far. It seems like the heel is too straight and doesn’t fit my foot shape. I’m really hoping they will break in and get better as I wear them, but that hasn’t happend yet after 3 times wearing them to work all day.

Good news: I love how the boots look and received several compliments from colleagues for them. Bed news: I probably won’t wear them very often because they are uncomfortable. The tongue has a very hard, pronounced seam that cuts right across the ankle and is very painful when I walk. I’ve tied the string loose and attempted to shift the tongue without relief. I forced myself to wear the boots everyday for a week to see if my ankle would get used to it but no. I own other boots either a narrower, thinner or softer tongue that are very comfortable. Sorry to report these boots are not working out for me.

They are advertised as being “Broken in” they are not, very stiff all around, the toe box, ankle, etc. They fit very narrow compared to other Olukai shoes (I have 5 other pairs in different styles). I’m on the fence about keeping them, not sure they’ll stretch and still need to be broken in after which, if they still haven’t stretched I’m sure I can’t return and will be stuck with $180 worth of unwearable shoes.

I found them extremely uncomfortable. Specially on my heel and the upper portion on the boot. Love the design, but I had to return them because I could not take more then 10 steps.
